Diana says: “In my work, I chose to contemplate the intangible components of everyday life such as dreams, thoughts, fantasies and my own inner state, in different surroundings. For me it is interesting to search for connections between reality and fantasy, and think of what is real and what is just illusion. Music, silence, meditation, the cosmos, the rustle of trees, colours and the smells of nature serve as my inspiration.”
Back in Lithuania, Diana obtained a BA in Fine Art and Painting from Vilnius Academy of Arts. She has been working as an independent artist in the UK since 2013. Her aim, she says, is to be as honest as possible in her creations. “I believe art work has to convey its own mood and spirit,” she adds, “and that it is very essential to maintain a sensuous creative rudiment.”
